This class builds upon the benefits administration and compliance requirements discussed in the HR1 class and focuses more deeply on benefits plan design and cost control. The session will cover: Developing a health care benefits strategy, Engaging senior management in health care decisions, Financial modeling of benefits plans options including plan options and employer /employee cost sharing, New benefits plan design options, Effective employee communications, ACA compliance, Participants will review the advantages and disadvantages of offering multiple plans, HRAs and HSAs, and alternative provider networks.
