Presenters:

Chris Roughton

Manufacturing focused Management Consultant with RSM, the first-choice advisor to middle-market business leaders globally. He has over 14 years of manufacturing and operations leadership experience, having worked for companies that range in stage from high-growth and venture backed to mature and publicly funded. Chris’ sustainability journey started while pursuing his MBA at the Yale School of Management where he was educated in Sustainability Metrics and Reporting, Life Cycle Assessments, and Corporate Environmental Strategy. His experience and education then brought Chris to the sustainable beverage startup, Bevi, where he lead field service and supply chain operations during a period of 5x revenue growth. Chris now advises clients in operations management and strategy, helping companies better leverage their technology and data for improved business performance and strategic decision making. Chris received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.

Cristina Gutierrez

Communications Officer, Women in Manufacturing (WIM): Massachusetts Chapter. Cristina is a Derivative Designer within the Design department of Permasteelisa North America, located in Windsor, CT. An alumnus from Central Connecticut State University, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Management, with a concentration in Manufacturing Processes. In her current role as Communications Officer for the Massachusetts Chapter of WIM, she helps plan and coordinate events throughout the state aimed at providing year-round support to women with a career in the manufacturing industry. A Connecticut native, she is a proud “Nutmegger” and is consistently looking for ways to promote the amazing manufacturing ecosystem located here in New England."

Kim Wilson

Kim Wilson is a Global Business Development Executive at Dassault Systèmes. She enjoys bringing people and teams together to create optimized business solutions. Kim previously worked in a variety of roles within large manufacturing companies, a health care start up and a non-profit venture. She has broad experience in manufacturing, sales, marketing, product management and environmental services across numerous industries. Kim’s current role is to help Life Science and Consumer Products companies optimize their engineering and manufacturing operations using virtual reality, simulation, and digital continuity software tools. She received a BS in Chemical Engineering and a concentration in Business from the Pennsylvania State University.

Alexander Sarly is a Senior Account Executive, SunPower Commercial Direct, Boston

Alex Sarly is Senior Account Executive for SunPower’s Commercial Direct team based in SunPower’s downtown Boston Office. Alex’s background includes 11 years developing non-residential solar projects for commercial, industrial and municipal customers across the U.S since 2008. Since joining SunPower in 2017 Alex has been directly responsible for booking more than $70 MM of new solar and solar + storage business in the northeast. Alex is responsible for developing, closing, and managing new commercial sales accounts and relationships, innovating project finance strategies with customers and finance partners, writing winning RFP responses and leading contract negotiations on behalf of the company. Prior to SunPower, Alex worked for other leading solar developers on the East Coast where he led sales teams and earned top customer success metrics. Before his career in Solar, Alex managed overseas economic development projects funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. His career in International Development brought him around the world, including Latin America (Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador); the Middle East (Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan), Central/South/Southeast Asia (Afghanistan, India, Philippines). Alex earned a Master of Arts degree in International Development from The American University in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography/Urban Planning from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He lives with his wife and three daughters (4, 6, and 11) in Wellesley Hills, MA.
