MassMutual has been a cornerstone of the Massachusetts economy since its founding in Springfield in 1851.
But the company’s influence is taking a quantum leap as it embarks upon an historic expansion on both ends of Massachusetts. The changes include a new $250 million, 17-story tower now under construction on the South Boston Waterfront that will accommodate 1,000 employees. MassMutual is also bringing 1,500 jobs to its headquarters, on top of the 3,000 positions there at the time of the announcement, while it consolidates offices around the country.
